North American Rescue (NAR) builds the tourniquets, dressings, hemostatic gauze, chest seals and trauma simulators that set the pace for tactical and combat casualty care, and TreeTac is NAR’s official equipment partner. Through that partnership, TreeTac supplies almost the full North American Rescue catalog, including NAR medical equipment for bleeding control, chest and airway management, hypothermia prevention and blood transport, to military, law enforcement, security, rescue and emergency response teams worldwide. This page groups the North American Rescue products TreeTac supplies by the job each one does on a casualty, and covers the NAR simulation line used to train and practice those same skills. Whatever a unit needs from NAR, from a single tourniquet to a full trauma manikin, TreeTac can source it and support it for the life of the equipment.

TreeTac and North American Rescue
North American Rescue is TreeTac’s official equipment partner and the largest single supplier behind TreeTac’s broader catalog. TreeTac carries almost the entire NAR line: hemorrhage control, chest and airway devices, hypothermia prevention, blood transport, and the full range of NAR simulation hardware used to train on all of it. That scope is also why NAR anchors TreeTac’s wider equipment and gear offering rather than sitting as one supplier among many. A unit standardizing its kits around North American Rescue products, or building a new aid bag around NAR gear, works with TreeTac for sourcing, specifications and ongoing support instead of going direct to a long list of individual suppliers.
Bleeding Control Equipment from NAR
Hemorrhage control sits at the center of North American Rescue’s catalog, and the data on combat casualties explains why.
Of potentially survivable deaths on the battlefield were linked to uncontrolled hemorrhage, according to the Eastridge combat casualty review widely cited in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) doctrine. That single figure is why bleeding control equipment sits first in nearly every NAR kit TreeTac supplies, from the tourniquet on a plate carrier to the gauze packed into an IFAK. It is also why TCCC and Stop the Bleed both treat fast, correct application as a trained skill, not something a kit alone can guarantee.

NAR’s bleeding control line starts with the Combat Application Tourniquet (C-A-T), a windlass tourniquet built around a single routing buckle for one-handed self-application under stress. For wounds where a tourniquet is not indicated, or once bleeding is controlled and the wound still needs dressing, the Flat Emergency Trauma Dressing (ETD), in 4-in and 6-in versions, packs an elastic pressure bandage, a sterile non-adherent pad and a securing mechanism into a low-profile, vacuum-sealed package that can also double as a sling or splint wrap. NAR Wound Packing Gauze and the QuikClot Z-Fold Vacuum Packed Combat Gauze both go into a wound with the same Z-fold packing motion a medic already knows: plain gauze for wounds that respond to direct pressure packing, and QuikClot’s hemostatic gauze, which pairs surgical gauze with an inorganic hemostatic agent, for wounds that need help clotting faster.

Chest, Airway and Respiratory Equipment
A bleeding wound to the torso often comes with a second problem: air getting into the chest cavity where it does not belong. The HyFin Vent Chest Seal addresses that with a hydrogel adhesive built to hold in adverse conditions, blood, sweat or body hair included, and a vented design that lets trapped air escape on exhale without letting outside air back in. It is available as a single chest seal and as a twin pack, which keeps the second seal sealed and ready if the casualty has an exit wound or a second penetrating injury. When the airway itself is the problem and a surgical airway is indicated, the NAR Cricothyrotomy Kit packages a protected scalpel, a tracheal hook, a cuffed tube and the smaller items a provider needs to perform the procedure, in the order they are meant to be used. TreeTac also supplies NAR’s ARS needle decompression devices for tension pneumothorax, along with the rest of NAR’s respiratory care line, so a unit’s chest and airway capability does not stop at the chest seal.

Hypothermia Prevention and Blood Products
Hemorrhage and cold work against a casualty together: blood loss drives body temperature down, and a cold casualty clots less effectively, which makes the bleeding harder to stop. The NAR Ready Heat 4-Cell is a self-heating blanket liner that starts warming as soon as the package is opened, with no activation step required, and holds a steady output for hours without being placed directly on exposed skin. For teams moving whole blood rather than only treating the casualty on scene, the Pelican Golden Hour One-F Container is a half-liter, ultra-light transport case built to keep its contents cool for extended periods regardless of outside conditions, using a sealed thermal isolation chamber instead of ice or active cooling. Together, the two products cover both sides of the same problem: keep the casualty warm, and keep the blood coming to them cold.

IFAKs, Trauma Kits and the Rest of the NAR Catalog
The products above are the building blocks; most teams carry them inside a kit rather than loose. North American Rescue builds individual first aid kits (IFAKs) in several sizes, from compact, hands-free pouches meant for a single casualty’s point-of-wounding care to larger team and vehicle trauma kits built around a specific mission profile. TreeTac supplies NAR’s IFAK and trauma kit range alongside the individual component items, so a unit can order a complete, pre-packed kit, a custom configuration, or the pieces needed to restock kits it already carries. NAR’s catalog goes well beyond this page, covering categories such as eye and burn care, casualty movement and litters, and patient monitoring; if a product carries the North American Rescue name, TreeTac can source it.

NAR Simulation for Training and Practice
Carrying the right equipment only matters if the team has practiced with it under pressure, and TreeTac supplies North American Rescue’s simulation line for exactly that. The TOMManikin GSW reproduces a gunshot wound casualty with active bleeding, a true through-and-through extremity wound and tibial IO access, controlled wirelessly so an instructor can run realistic bleeding, breathing and voice responses through a full scenario. The NAR Wound Management Simulator and Deluxe Moulage Kit let instructors build smaller, more focused wound packing and bleeding control drills without committing a full manikin, and the K-9 Medical Simulator brings the same reactive-casualty training to handler teams working alongside a working dog. TreeTac also supplies the Patient Monitoring Suite with NAR-S Control Tablet that runs these simulators, the ALS Deluxe Kit with Instructor Tablet, Techline Trauma’s Gunshot Wound in a Box and Cric in a Box, the TCCC Skills Set All Combatant for up to 25 students at a time, and the H-60 Mobile Training Simulator for teams that need the capability to travel with them. Pairing this NAR simulation line with TreeTac’s own training and practice programs is how equipment choices turn into skills a team can rely on in the field.
